1. The principle of ultraviolet disinfection
According to the different biological effects, ultraviolet rays are divided into four parts: A band, B band, C band and D band according to the wavelength. C-band ultraviolet rays can inactivate the DNA of bacteria, viruses, spores and other pathogenic bacteria, thereby destroying their ability to replicate and spread diseases. Therefore, C-band ultraviolet rays are mainly used for water disinfection.
2. UV sterilization technology
UV radiates microorganisms to realize the purpose of water sterilization. After the protein, RNA and DNA of microorganisms absorb the energy of UV, the UV (254nm) can polymerize the base pair of DHA of microorganisms to prevent protein synthesis and reproduction of microorganisms, and as a result cells will die and the sterilization purpose is realized. During the sterilization process, UV will not produce any by-products.

4. Requirements for source water quality
The quality of the source water plays an important role in giving play to the effectiveness of the UV sterilization equipment.
1) Water - UVT is larger than 75
2) Bacteria indicators: The quantity of coliform in the source water should be less than 1,000 / L, that of the bacteria should be less than 2,000 / ML
3) The chromaticity should be less than 15
4) The iron content should be less than 0.3mg/L
5) Turbidity shall be less than 5°
6) The Mn content should be less than 0.05ppm (0.05mg/L)
7) The hardness should be less than 7gpg (120mg/L)
If the total hardness is larger than 7gpg, the source water should be softened
