The flow-through ultraviolet sterilizer belongs to the pipe-flow type. In other words, as water flows through the ultraviolet sterilizer, it is directly exposed to ultraviolet light emitted by the UV germicidal lamp inside the pipe, effectively eliminating microorganisms such as bacteria and viruses present in the water.

Flow-through ultraviolet sterilizers are widely used and feature rapid sterilization, high efficiency, and low operating costs. They are commonly found in various fields such as domestic water supply, food processing, and electronics, and are among the most common disinfection and sterilization equipment used in wastewater treatment.

The actual sterilization effect of flow-through ultraviolet sterilizers:

The flow-through ultraviolet sterilizer utilizes the irradiation intensity emitted by UV lamps—the irradiation intensity produced by the UV disinfection lamp—which is inversely proportional to the distance between the lamp and the object being disinfected. Ultraviolet light represents a unique mode of chemical action; it is a stream of discrete particles. Each UV photon with a wavelength of 253.7 nm carries an energy of 4.9 eV. When bacteria and viruses absorb an irradiation dose exceeding 3,600 to 65,000 μW/cm², these photons exert a powerful destructive effect on the deoxyribonucleotides (DNA) and ribonucleotides (RNA) of the microorganisms, thereby disabling their ability to replicate and proliferate, ultimately achieving a sterilizing effect.

The application scope of flow-through UV sterilizers includes: municipal power supply, sewage treatment plants, hospital wastewater treatment, residential water supply, landscape pond water, tap water for aquaculture farms, swimming pools, hot springs, and other wastewater treatment applications. These sterilizers achieve high-efficiency disinfection and sterilization within seconds, with a sterilization rate reaching 99-99.9%. They offer faster sterilization speeds and superior efficiency.
