Precautions for Installation and Commissioning of Low-Pressure UV Disinfection Units
2021-06-02
Installation Steps for Low-Pressure UV Disinfection Units:
1. Before installing this device, please first measure the voltage at the installation point and ensure it remains within the range of 180V to 230V to guarantee proper operation of the lamp ballast.
2. During the installation of the main reactor, at least one side—either the left or right—should be left with approximately 1.5 meters of clearance to allow for the installation of UV lamps and quartz sleeves.
3. Install the main reactor on a level ground or foundation indoors for easy operation; the ground or foundation must be smooth and flat.
4. Install pipes, fittings, and valves of various specifications for water inlet and outlet.
5. Install the quartz sleeve: Remove the power protection cover, unscrew the fixing nut, and carefully insert the quartz sleeves one by one along the reactor’s axis. At a position approximately 10 millimeters from the quartz tube opening, place the supplied O-ring seal onto the sleeve and then tighten the fixing nut.
6. After the quartz sleeve is installed, insert the lamp tube into the quartz sleeve. Connect one end of the lamp tube’s connecting wire—with the ceramic lampholder—to the lamp tube itself, and connect the other end to the ballast.
Low-pressure lamp tube installation steps:
1. First, insert the lamp tube spring into the glass tube.
2. Gently push the UV lamp tube into the quartz sleeve, leaving space for the UV lamp tube’s terminals.
3. Insert the UV lamp tube socket into the terminal block of the UV lamp head.
4. Push all the UV lamp tubes fully into the quartz sleeves.
5. Insert the sealing plug into the hole of the sealing press cap until the sealing press cap is securely seated.
6. Install the power protection cover.
Precautions for Low-Pressure UV Disinfectors:
1. All UV lamps must not be operated with any connections missing, to avoid damaging the electrical control system.
2. When installing the quartz sleeve, wear rubber gloves to avoid affecting the UV light transmittance.
Debugging steps for flow-through UV sterilizers:
1. Connect the matching power supply;
2. After closing the circuit breaker, the power-on indicator light illuminates, and the sealed electrical control box is closed.
3. First, open the inlet valve and slowly allow water to flow in. Once the water pressure stabilizes, wait for one or two minutes to ensure that the equipment is fully filled with water.
4. Turn on the power supply; the power indicator lights up, and the LED light illuminates (indicating that the lamp is working). The cleaning indicator light (optional) also lights up.
5. Observe whether the light warning system is functioning properly and check if the motor is running smoothly.
