Why choose a medium-pressure UV disinfection unit?

Medium-pressure UV sterilizer It is an advanced disinfection technology with low ultraviolet transmittance (5% to 25%). The ultraviolet transmittance of medium-pressure UV disinfectors can range from 5% to 70%. This means that medium-pressure UV disinfectors can reliably ensure both effective disinfection and high-quality effluent water. It is a durable and efficient disinfection technology that does not trigger reactivation or microbial regrowth, thereby guaranteeing complete disinfection efficacy and water quality safety.

Reasons for choosing a medium-pressure UV disinfectant:

  1. Each individual lamp has high power (1000 W per lamp), significantly reducing the number of UV lamps required and the size of the reactor (with a flow rate of 30–50 tons/hour, only one lamp is needed; small in size, high in power, and delivering remarkable disinfection and sterilization performance).

  2. Wider wavelength range, with an effective irradiation spectrum between 200–400 nanometers (effectively removes bacteria, viruses, chloramines, chlorides, and trichloramines).

  3. Medium-pressure UV lamps can withstand higher pressures and a wider temperature range, making them suitable for applications involving higher pressures and more demanding operating environments (they can tolerate pressures up to 16 kg and temperatures as high as 100°C).

Medium-pressure UV lamp: Utilizing high-power, premium imported medium-pressure UV lamps, this system reduces the number of lamps required while still handling large volumes of water. Compared to low-pressure UV lamps, it offers higher UV intensity and a broader spectrum of radiation wavelengths.

  4. Currently, the industries that use medium-pressure UV disinfectors have less stringent water quality requirements compared to those using low-pressure UV disinfectors, making them suitable for a wider range of environments and water treatment applications. Since low-pressure UV disinfectors cannot handle large volumes of pool water, medium-pressure UV disinfectors have become the preferred choice for pool applications.

  5. When dealing with large water volumes and having limited installation space, low-pressure UV sterilizers tend to occupy a lot of space and can sometimes be inconvenient to install. In contrast, medium-pressure equipment takes up less space, boasts higher power output, and is suitable for a wide range of applications, ensuring reliable performance.
