What factors should be noted when using a secondary water UV sterilizer?

The secondary water UV sterilizer uses the powerful disinfecting effect of ultraviolet light to eliminate microorganisms. It boasts strong killing power and a short action time. As water flows through the processor and is exposed to UV radiation, bacteria in the water are promptly eradicated. Precautions for use:

1. Frequent starts, especially within a short period of time, are strictly prohibited to ensure the lifespan of the UV lamp tube.
2. Regular Cleaning of the Disinfection Device: Depending on water quality conditions, the UV lamp tube and quartz glass sleeve need to be cleaned regularly. Use an alcohol-soaked cotton ball or gauze to wipe the lamp tube, removing any dirt from the quartz glass sleeve and ensuring it is thoroughly cleaned, so as not to impair the UV light’s transmittance and thus affect the disinfection efficiency.
3. When replacing the lamp tube, first unplug the power socket of the lamp tube, then carefully remove the old lamp tube. Next, gently insert the cleaned new lamp tube into the sterilizer, secure the sealing ring, and check for any leaks before plugging in the power again. Be careful not to touch the quartz glass of the new lamp tube with your fingers, as any fingerprints could impair its sterilization effectiveness.
4. Preventing UV Radiation: Ultraviolet rays have a strong bactericidal effect, and they can also cause certain harm to the human body. When turning on the disinfection lamp, avoid direct exposure of the human body to the UV light. If necessary, wear protective eyewear; never look directly at the light source with your eyes, as this could damage the cornea.
The secondary water UV sterilizer is suitable for water supply systems and is an essential piece of equipment for disinfecting the outlets of elevated water tanks and storage reservoirs, as well as the inlets of variable-frequency pumps in centralized water supply systems. It can effectively address the issue of excessive harmful bacterial populations caused by secondary contamination. Additionally, it is applicable to water disinfection in industries such as food, beverages, and pharmaceuticals, as well as in swimming pool water treatment systems and small-scale water supply systems that use river, lake, pond, or well water as their source.
